Grilling Veggies

An easy method for grilling perfect veggies every time.

Ingredients

  • Wegmans Organic Basting Oil or Wegmans Pure Olive Oil

  • Wegmans Vegetable Oil

  • Veggies to be grilled

  • Salt and pepper

Equipment

  • Metal grill brush

  • Soft cloth or grill wipes

  • Nonstick foil

  • Tongs or slotted spatula

  • Cutting board

  • Knife

  • Serving platters and/or storage containers

Directions

1. Mise en Place

  • Preheat grill on HIGH 10 min.

  • Coat cleaned grill grate lightly with vegetable oil.

  • Cut veggies into roughly equal pieces.

  • Drizzle with basting oil to lightly coat; season with salt and pepper.

  • Adjust heat (MED or LOW is usually best).

2. Cook

  • Sear veggies on all sides.

  • Grill; turn (using tongs) every 1-2 min.

  • Cook until knife tip pierces easily with no resistance.

3. Finish

  • Transfer to serving platter.
